As a owner of the company, an avid outdoorsman, and a member of the Hyde Pro Staff, Paul takes his fishing seriously. Having spent many years hunting and fishing in the Canadian Rockies, along with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, his outdoor knowledge and skills are difficult to match. Fishing nearly 100 days per year, with 75 of those days on the Elk River & tributaries, the expertise that is shared on one of his guided fly fishing trips will heighten your knowledge of our local fishery in addition to hooking you up with some of the biggest fish in the Elk Valley.

The two questions Louis is asked most frequently is "How long have you been doing this ?" Followed by "How long have you lived in these parts ?" Thirty Years !!! That's right, thirty years of fishing, hunting, and guiding big game in the East Kootenays, and guided on the Elk River and tributaries for 16 years with his wife Donna. The third question he gets asked "Are we going to catch anything today ?" Hell Yea... I know where they lie...

Being born in Fernie, Donna can claim the Elk River and Region 4 as her "Home Waters". As a young girl Donna fished with her father who introduced her to all the local waters in the Fernie area. The fascination with fishing continued to a higher level with her other half, Louis. With over 10 years as an angling guide, the ONLY woman fully licenced as an Angling Guide in Region 4, and our Walk N' Wade specialist, Donna's passion is to Match the Hatch on her guided trips.

Steve has guided fly fisherman on many of the Kootenays' finest lakes and streams For the past 10 years. He is an excellent teacher of Fly Tying, Casting and Still Water tactics. Steve spends over a 100 days a year on the water, and when he is not guiding, he will be polishing his still water skills targeting the elusive rainbow trout. In the off season Steve ties flies commercially and works as a freelance writer. Steve's articles and fly patterns have appeared in numerous magazines and books. If Steve can't catch them, no one can!

Tom Windsor, owner of Bow River Hookers, is our Bow River connection. He has been fly fishing for over 35 years, spending over 100 days each year on southern Alberta waters, mostly the Bow River, which has given him knowledge of the Alberta waters that is unmatched. The tricks he has developed consistently put clients into quality fish. His experience along with his enthusiasm in seeing someone catch their first Bow River trout makes him one of the best at what he does.
